Question by ron the freak: Why do people think Dungeons and Dragons is evil?
Dungeons and Dragons (or D&D as we who play it refer to it) is always seen as evil, but most stories played are good. These “campainges” are often run for months and usually become more engrosing than even the newest video games. Is it the references to magic or fictional deities (which many campainges remove). Is it some weird thing where most of the religions think that they need to attack anything that doesn’t conform to their standards. It is the fredom in the gameplay that draws so many people. I’ve been playing for a couple of months now and have found that the only way a campainge can be evil is if the one running it, called the Dungeon Master or DM for short, wills it so. Please tell me what you think.

I played for at least a couple of years. I think it is what you make it. I agree that most of it brings out good things. However, it has a dark component that can get out of hand if the wrong people get in the mix. If you are just in it for fun, keep it light. Have a reality check every now and then. Don’t mix with people that aren’t friends. Most of all, if you don’t appreciate fantasy literature and art, leave it alone.
