How Long Can a 1 year old baby dragon live without his heater?
I need to fix a electrical socket in my attic, all the eletricity upstairs will go off, about for 45 minutes, but im scared my bearded dragon will die of the cold, his heaters still on now, i wont start till i get an answer but he will proberly be fine,im just asking.

like i said :

he can last the whole day. and he will be fine.
he will think its night maybe and go and hide in his cave probably .
why r u soo worried ? u turn the lights out for the night . he will be fine just relax lol

Plush monsters are easy to find, and plastic weapons/armor/shields could be hung on the walls out of the baby’s reach. You might be able to find or make a mobile with little monsters, too. You could put a knight/princess canopy over the crib or changing table. A castle theme could work for either boys or girls.

I can’t think of much else that would be safe around an infant/toddler. Good luck!

The smallest tank for a hatchling/juvenile (under 8″) is a 20 gallon long, but personally I’d go with a 40 gallon breeder. Anything smaller and the temperatures cannot be regulated.

I’d suggest researching your animal, as the more research you do the more you learn.

I bought a baby bearded dragon and I am not sure what the hydromemter should be at. When I spray the tank w/the water bottle it goes to like 40% but then it dries so quickly and goes back to 2 or 0%. Any suggestions on what I should be doing? He has a waterbowl that is shallow.

put the hydrometer in the center and just make sure the humidity doesn’t go above 50% try to get it at 10% remember they live in Australia in a non humid environment

It’s going to vary by where you buy the bearded dragon. The cost of the reptile alone can range from -0+ at pet stores. The tank will depend on what size you start with; remember that by putting a baby in a 40 gallon tank will stress it out greatly, so you will either need to get a 20 gallon and upgrade or buy a divider and move the divider. Add regular lighting plus UV lighting and an undertank heater. Food bowl, water bowl, and decor. Remember that if you choose to use UV tubes, the dragon needs to be able to get at least 6 inches to the tube in order to get actual rays, and you’ll need to replace the tube every 4-6 months.

I’d say the average total is going to be at least 0-0

Probably meat. And don’t keep it away from the mother for too long. If it can’t stay warm from a fire (like in the mother’s belly), it could die. Make sure it gets plenty of firebeans so it can breathe fire.

I just got a baby bearded dragon from the pet store today and it is slightly opening it’s mouth while basking and not really interested in eating or drinking. But I also don’t know when he last ate or drank anything. It is my first beardie and I have a lot of questions.

I don’t know much about bearded dragons, but from experience with other reptiles, you need to leave them to settle in. This can vary and some may be really quick and love the new environment, while others take a while. If the food is available in the tank then he will eat when he is good and ready. He may just be a little nervous at the new surroundings and if he was in a smaller tank in the pet shop and with other beardies then he is probably wondering where everyone is and why he can’t see any others and is wondering what the big open space is.

I would start to worry if his colour changes or he drops in weight. Even if you don’t know the last time he ate, he will eat when he is hungry and accustomed to his new tank. It can be hard with a new animal to not check on them and see how they’re doing, but try not to keep going up to the glass if you do a lot and leave him to do his own thing, even if that’s nothing

I have a baby bearded dragon that seems to have had possible nose bleeds from both nostrils some point in time while i wasn’t home, cause it was dried up already when i got home. Is there a possible sickness or problem the baby could be having that would cause this?

My new-born bearded dragons (born about 1 and 2 days ago-there are 2 and they were born on 2 different days.) won’t eat the lettuce (Romaine) that I tried to give them, nor the chopped up mealworms, nor the pin-head crickets that I just gave them.

When do they normally eat after hatching, and is there any trick that I might need to do perform to make sure they do eat?
