If he actually is biting off the plant and swallowing it then you may have a problem. This can lead to impaction which causes the lizard to not pass food or feces because the plant is blocking things from passing through. You should take the plants out if this is happening, but if he is just biting the plant then there would be no problem. If you feel that something wrong could happen if he continues to bite the plant I think you should definitely take it out for the safety of your lizard.

Holy crap! thet’s pretty wierd. The best way is to take them out of it’s vivarium or give it more food and food variety. You’ll wanna stop it doing that pretty fast as it can cause digestion problems.
Hope this helps you.

Take them away from him.
Yes it can harm him. You can give some veggies which may prevent him from chewing on the fake foliage. Also make sure he has adequate water as that’s a common reason for them to go after plants.

I would definitely take them out right now. This could cause impaction and that is not something you want to have to deal with. There are a lot of good sites for making his habitat great without plants. Go to beardeddragon.org and join and then go into the forums sections and look at what others have done especially the furniture made from styrofoam.

yes if he is eating it. you shouldn’t bother with plastic plants anyways, just use play sand for substrate and give it a nice rock or grapevine to bask on. I also have a little cave for most of mine to camp out in, but only the older ones. The little guys need as much light as possible.

Remove the plants from the tank unless you want to have a dead lizard
