How do i get my bearded dragons to eat their veggies?
Question by Sarah: How do i get my bearded dragons to eat their veggies?
I just adopted two 1 year old bearded dragons this past weekend. The condition of the home they came from was decent but i’m not sure how well they kept up with giving them a proper diet. They eat crickets and super-worms just fine but neither of them will touch the veggies i put in there. Any tricks for getting them to eat their greens would be very very helpful.
Thank you.

I put carrots in there with there veggies because bright colors like red or orange are appealing to them. The main green I feed my bearded dragon is turnip green or mustard greens. Right when I put it in the tank my beardie jumps all over it. Hope this helped!

The best way to encourage eating veggies is to mix them in with something they love. For example, my dragons always love the gravy from canned cat or dog food as a treat. So I take the juices from cooked meat or a can of cat or dog food and mix it into their salad. This tricks their sense of smell and encourages them to eat.

I’d just feed them a very small amount of food one day and the next day they’ll probably eat it,it worked for mine, I just kept offering it to him.
